Single string / Tenor Ukulele (3rd) c' - unwound (plain) Mix ofNYLGUT and red copper powder Colour: red-brown Gauge: 0,84 mm Fitsstring sets 87U and 88U Red Series - Nylgut made firstly elastic andthen added with red copper powder in order to increase the density toabout twice that of standard white Nylgut. Slightly rough surface; thistexture has eliminated the squeak that sometime happen with theNylguts. The new red-brown strings feature a great feel, excellentelasticity and accurate intonation past the 12th fret. Pressingstrongly the string on the frets, the note does not became sharper. Itis not necessary to file the nut slot wider to accommodate it.
IMPORTANT:
To avoid potential problems, please make sure the string slot in thenut is wide enough. This is easily determined by putting the string inthe slot and visually checking the fitment before installing thestring. A radiused lower edge at the fingerboard side is also veryimportant. Some ukes have a sharp lower edge. These strings are veryreliable under correct conditions.
Aquila Red Series strings are not covered by any replacement warrantyper Aquila Strings. These are delicate strings and require properreplacement technique and stretching.
