Note Fontaine did not make clarinets, they were made by Couesnon inFrance, for Fontaine, and with both their names on the instrument.
Standard clarinet in B-flat by c1940's
Four sections Stamped on Upper joint, lower Joint and Barrel :A.Fontaine Couesnon Paris. Lower and Upper Joint with matching serialnumbers 7884. Grenadilla body; Nickel-silver keys, rings, ferrules.Boehm system. 17 keys, 6 rings, rod/pillar mounts.
There is a mouthpiece, Ligature and Cap

The scratches and bruises were filled, sanded buffed and polished. The pillars have been secured. The keys were sanded and polished. Nocracks could be found on the instrument, though there was a couple ofchips, that have been filled sanded and buffed. Faulty springs havebeen replaced and the others retensioned. Premium grade pads have beenfitted as have key and tenon corks. Key heights have been set andaction regulated.
