The Alternative 8 humbucker uses high output coils along with a powerful Alnico 8 magnet to give you the sweet treble response of an Alnico 2 magnet with the midrange emphasis of Alnico 5 and the power of a ceramic. The result is a huge, punchy, high-output sound that doesn’t get fizzy, and cuts through without sounding harsh. Match it with the ’59 neck or Jazz neck model for a perfectly balanced setup. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Alternative 8 is made with an Alnico 8 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. Available in standard humbucker or Trembucker spacing.
