76-style FET compressor

The Nyle’s compressor section is based on the 76-style FET model that’s been a studio standard for decades. You get a broad range of controls: Comp Volume sets the compressor’s volume, Sustain dials in the amount of compression, and Ratio blends the dry and compressed signal. You also get a 3-way Attack toggle switch that controls the compressor’s sensitivity, offering everything from subtle, to squishy, to all-out slam.

Vintage-sounding, British-style preamp

The Vertex Nyle Compressor’s preamp circuit is based on a vintage, British-style console. Its ample control set enables you to dial in an infinite number of tonal textures: Preamp Volume governs the preamp’s volume, EQ enables you to tweak the preamp’s low-mid frequencies, and Gain controls clipping for the preamp circuit.
