Tested, tweaked and refined on the road by Eddie Van Halen himself using over 35 years of his experience, knowledge and experimentation, the Wolfgang Standard is ready to crank out some serious rock. Perfect for energetic riffing and blazing leads, the EVH Wolfgang Standard features directly mounted Custom Designed EVH Wolfgang Humbucking pickups that deliver plenty of girth and sparkle, as well as near-endless sustain to power chords and melody lines. Other features include a bolt-on Maple neck, a speedy 12"-16" compound radius Maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and a gorgeous Transparent Purple satin urethane finish Basswood body.

Wolfgang Humbucking Pickups

Featuring custom designed Wolfgang humbucking pickups the Wolfgang Standard delivers fierce and screaming highs, defined middle and deep and chunky low end allowing you to truly nail the legend Eddie Van Halen's signature tone. Loaded with Alnico II magnets and DC resistance of 14k (bridge) and 16k (neck) the Wolfgang humbuckers are perfect for a range of playing styles due to their medium output and powerful vintage tone.

Floyd Rose Special Tremolo

For many years Floyd Rose has been the leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos. With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years the Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. Unlike non-locking tremolo's the Floyd Rose Special bridge can make huge changes in pitch but still retain the initial tuning by addition of the locking nut at the end of the headstock.

Compound Radius Neck

The EVH Wolfgang Standard features a unique and innovative compound-radius fretboard design, in which the fretboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This provides a smooth playability for both chords and riffs whilst the flattened heel allows a sensational and speedy accessibility to the higher register perfect for both lead and rhythm players.
