Why Choose Roland?

Founded in 1972 in Osaka, Japan, Roland has been at the forefront of electronic music innovation for over five decades. Roland didn’t just participate in the electronic music revolution – they created it. The TR-808 drum machine, TB-303 bass synthesizer, JUNO synthesizers, and countless other Roland products fundamentally changed how music is created, performed, and produced.

Today, Roland continues this legacy of innovation with V-Drums that feel and respond like acoustic drums, keyboards delivering authentic piano and organ sounds, synthesizers pushing sonic boundaries, and effects processors trusted by professionals worldwide. When you choose Roland, you’re choosing reliability, innovation, and decades of engineering excellence.

Roland V-Drums – Industry-Leading Electronic Drums

Why V-Drums Set the Standard

Roland V-Drums revolutionized electronic drumming by creating the first electronic drums that truly feel, respond, and sound like acoustic drums. V-Drums aren’t just electronic replacements – they’re professional instruments in their own right, trusted by touring drummers, studio professionals, and drum educators worldwide.

V-Drums Technology

Mesh Heads: Roland pioneered mesh head technology providing authentic acoustic feel and response. Mesh heads offer realistic rebound and stick articulation while remaining virtually silent for practice.
SuperNATURAL Sound Engine: Advanced sound modeling recreates the complex tonal characteristics of acoustic drums – not just recorded samples but responsive, dynamic sounds that change with playing intensity.
Digital Pads: Multi-zone sensing captures every nuance of your playing – rimshots, cross-sticking, and subtle dynamics all register accurately.
VH-Series Hi-Hats: Revolutionary hi-hat controllers responding naturally to foot pressure and stick articulation, from tight closed sounds to wide-open crashes.
Positional Sensing: Advanced cymbal pads detect where you strike – edge, bow, or bell – producing appropriate sounds automatically.
