Each Gliga journey starts in the Carpathian Mountains in Europe where legendary wood used by the old master builders is carefully selected before being sent to the Gliga workshops in Romania. There the expert luthiers use traditional methods to construct the body which is finished in a special dark oil varnish developed for the Australian market. Ebony pegs, chinrest, endpin and fingerboard are carefully shaped and fitted.

The careful attention to detail and high quality fittings results in a robust European instrument that provides a student with every opportunity to excel in the difficult early stages of learning.
