For sale is a remarkable, handmade antique violin dating back to approximately 1850. This instrument has just undergone a thorough restoration and is in fully playable condition. It possesses a wonderful historic character and a mature, warm tone that only comes with a century and a half of aging. Has remains of a label, but is unreadable.

Key Features & Characteristics:

- Era & Origin: Circa 1850. Beautifully handcrafted with distinctive mid-19th-century workshop characteristics.
- Purfling: Features charming, traditional painted/inked purfling, characteristic of historic Central European (German/Saxon/Bohemian) lutherie.
- Neck & Fingerboard: Features an authentic period wedge under the ebony fingerboard, a classic historical adjustment that ensures excellent playability and a comfortable string action.
- Tone: Deep, resonant, and mature with great projection.

Recent Restoration Work Includes:

- 2 Cracks on top repaired, can be seen in photo
- New Aubert Deluxe Bridge, new sound Post New pegs Fitted
- Setup with Pirastro Eudoxa string.
