Hohner Sonny Terry Heritage Edition Harmonica - Marine Band
Special Heritage Harp Honors One of the Greats
Paying honor to one of the greatest harmonica players of all time, Hohner introduces the Sonny Terry Heritage Edition Harmonica. This classic, 10-hole diatonic harp is a Marine Band 1986 with custom engraved cover plate and an orange/black lacquered pearwood comb — modeled after the one that Terry played through his career until his death in 1986. This beautifully designed harp lets you really explore the soulful expressiveness of blues music and is a favorite here. And as with all Hohners, the Sonny Terry Heritage Edition Harmonica is handcrafted in Trossingen, Germany.
A legacy lives
Sonny Terry blew up the blues world in the late ’30s as he made his way into various popular blues bands of the time. In 1938, he was invited to play at Carnegie Hall as well as record for the Library of Congress. His blues style was inventive, expressive, and would inspire countless players as well as bands of the emerging rock scene in the late ’50s and into the ’60s.
