Meinl Percussion Bata Itotele Ritual Drum BA2BK

The Meinl BA2BK is an Itótele Bata hand percussion instrument, which means it's the second largest kind of Batá. This Cuban instrument has drumheads made of hand-selected buffalo hide, which have 5.75-inch and 8.75 inch diameters. The Bata is made of high-quality black fibreglass with a glossy finish, ensuring it's not just lightweight, but remarkably durable as well. With its unique, authentic sound, the BA2K bata is sure to please.

Easy maintenance and transport

The aforementioned drumheads are held in place by traditional TTR rims, which keep the heads taut with large metal clamps. You can easily tune the heads yourself, by using the included tuning key, allowing you to keep the instrument in tip-top shape at all times. Furthermore, for easy transportation, Meinl even included a nylon shoulder strap.
