The Mojotone '56 "Quiet Coil" P-90 pickup has been engineered to bring back all the huge highs and breathy clarity of those iconic mid-1950s pickups — with none of the 60-cycle hum! But Mojotone has done it without the PC boards, batteries, or other electronic add-ons normally employed to cancel hum. They used only the parts and materials found in the originals: lower output alnico magnets, adjustable pole pieces, spec 42-gauge coil wire, and all the rest. The result is pure P-90 tone, as authentic as possible, with the addition of hum-free performance in any switch position. Guitarists also love the fact that no routing mod's are required to get the classic high-volume grind and rolled-off clean tones of the mid-1950s P-90 pickups — with no hum!
