We do not state this violin is an Original Guarnerius however, the date may not be to far from when it was made. My estimate would be late 1600's to early 1700's

Violin has been grafted.

Has plenty of dings and scratches as seen in the photos.Some repaired cracks, some pieces of wood added to the top plate.

Nicely carved thin plates with a superb two piece back, gently flamed.

Violin has been professionally set up with a new bridge and soundpost, along with a set of Pirastro strings. We have kept the chin rest and tailpiece, original to how we received it, but they can be changed for modern piece, 

This is a  stunning baroque violin, one of the nicest we have come across. The scroll is small and beautiful.

The sound is not a powerhouse, more of sweet mellow baroque sound. Very beautiful.
