The Scahaller Cello Pegs are not geared like Wittner cello pegs, but they  have a mechanism that allows you to turn them smoothly, without the peg slipping or sticking. The amount of friction (how hard or easy they are to turn) can be controlled by the screw in the peg head, allowing smoth and easy tuning.
