The Schatten RB-1A active upright bass pickup includes Schatten's popular RB bass bridge sensor wired to an active, low noise preamp that fits behind the tailpiece. This is an excellent choice for the player that needs to plug into a PA system or mixer board.

The Schatten RB sensor element is designed to fit in the wing slot of a standard bass bridge. Normal placement of the sensor is in the bass- side slot. The sensor has a nominal thickness of 0.25" (6.35mm) and requires a slot opening of approximately 0.225" (5.7mm). The fit of the sensor in the slot is meant to be snug as this is a pressure-sensitive sensor. The sensor will compress slightly as it is pushed into the wing slot. Bridge not included.

The RB-1A includes a high output, low noise preamp assembly that attaches behind the tailpiece with the included hook-and-loop fastener. The preamp output accepts a standard 1/4" instrument cable (not included).
