Seymour Duncan's Phase I sized active 6-string neck soapbar pickup that combines clarity, punch, and warmth in a super-responsive soapbar.Seymour Duncan has designed their ASB pickups to be the blend of a traditional active pickups punch and snap and a vintage passive pickups warmth and tone. The dynamics and response are true, with just a hint of tonal coloring, but not extreme one way or another, and with the 6-string version can handle the full range you need. The sound of the ASB is natural with and even bass, mid, and treble response thats perfect for finger style or slap. The internal active preamp gives you more overall volume and presence than you can typically find from with a passive pickup. Seymour Duncan's internal split-blade design allows for the best string-to-string balance of any soapbar pickup.This pickup is a direct replacement for a traditional Bartolini P2. Many players combine the ASB pickups with our STC-2 or STC-3 Tone Circuit preamps to add precision EQ sculpting.
