SeymourDuncan SH-18s Whole Lotta Humbucker Nickel cover Set (Bridge & Neck)

Inhis youth, Seymour Duncan spent time in London and aided fellow youngguitar players with defining their sound through pickups. This wouldn'tbe much of a story if one of these lads didn't go on to change theworld! Seymour's special rewound PAFs went into a Les Paul and captureda sound that blasted through a Marshall stack and into history. Thesesame pickups are now available as the Whole Lotta Humbucker.

Therecipe for these pickups starts with a rough cast Alnico 5 magnet,plain enamel wire, and Seymour's unique wind pattern. The bridge is ahotter-than-vintage 8.78k DC resistance and the neck is similarly beefyat 8.20k. Tonally, the rough cast magnets add warmth and balancednote-to-note clarity so everything sounds bigger. What is sonicallyunique about the Whole Lotta Humbucker pickups is the way that theypush your amp and add a very slight natural compression and sustain toyour playing

Usethe Whole Lotta Humbucker set for the “original” sound or try thebridge with an Alnico 2 magnet neck pickup, like the Pearly Gates, fora distinct in-between position tone. Utilize the 4-conductor cable oneach pickup with push/pull pots or mini-switches for completeflexibility.
