As the name implies, the SH-6 Distortion is perfect for driving - or overdriving - your amp's input, yielding a ton of crunch while maintaining clarity. This high output humbucker is perfect for metal of any flavor, and also fares well in other styles of high-aggression music. This power/clarity combination comes from the enormous ceramic magnet and hot coil windings that merge to create a sound full of rawness. For punchy tones that cut through the mix - even in drop tunings - the SH-6 Distortion certainly delivers.

Sound
The SH-6 Distortion is a high-output humbucker built for aggressive playing styles. It's recommended for old school metal, nu-metal, gothic, garage, punk, thrash, and other heavy rock styles, and is great for drop tunings. The SH-6 yields high output while retaining clarity. The massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings deliver tremendous power and raw distorted rock sounds, and create more aggressive tones than the SH-5 Duncan Custom. The SH-6 comes with four-conductor hookup cable to facilitate complex pickup switching setups.
Complete setup
The SH-6 Distortion is available for both neck and bridge positions, and often a Distortion bridge is paired with an SH-2n Jazz Model in the neck for good clean tones and versatility. The SH-6 is for balanced and warm instruments, and works especially well with rosewood fingerboards.
