Chrome and nickel are visually similar but distinguishably different — chrome has a brighter, cooler silver tone, nickel a slightly warmer and darker silver. On most instruments the difference is subtle but noticeable when hardware is viewed side by side. If your guitar's existing bridge, tailpiece and tuners appear bright silver, chrome is the likely correct match. If the hardware has a slightly warm or aged silver character, nickel (TP7-N) may be the better match. The functional specification of the TP7-C is identical across all four finishes — the metric compatibility check remains the critical purchasing step. The TP7 uses 8mm x 1.25 metric threads suited to most imported 7-string guitars. Confirm your existing post thread and 84.5mm post spacing before ordering.
