TJ Wooden lip and riser headjoint

     Handmade in England, the wooden lip and riser option is only available on the 925 silver head Cantabile and 925 silver tube Virtuoso models. This headjoint offers a completely different feel and tonal characteristic compared to the usual 925 silver and is well suited to all musical genres,

especially baroque pieces.

This flute is 'closed hole' which is the most popular at an advanced level - closed hole is where you press the keys/pads to cover a hole and the other type which is not very popular at this level is 'open hole' where you have holes in each of the keys and you use a combination of your fingers and the keys/pads to cover the holes. Other features include a E mechanism to produce a cleaner and more responsive top E, over-cutting/undercutting of the embouchure hole to provide less whisper tones, a clear focus on the blowing edge and a broader sound, and a heavy-weighted engraved crown which adds mass to the end of the flute to provide greater performance and a broader colour range. To top everything off the Cantabile flute comes in a French style wooden case with a fleecy lined case cover (with a carry handle and shoulder strap), white gauze cloth, microfiber cleaning cloth and an owner guide.
