Two parallel boost circuits work in tandem to reproduce the sound you've been hearing inside your head. Its 2-knob interface includes a Bright control and a Mid control. Bright controls a high-headroom JFET boost that's great for enhancing jangle and high-end attack. Mid dials in your midrange presence, which can be further tailored with a selectable frequency switch. Use either circuit by itself, or combine them by setting each knob to your desired level. Thanks to its two independent circuits, the Walrus Audio Emissary is like having two boost pedals in one. Why it's called the "Emissary"

The name "Emissary" refers to a group of veins inside the human head. These veins connect the outside of the cranium to the venous sinuses inside the cranium. We're not sure what this has to do with audio, but the engineers at Walrus Audio promise a real "sinus-clearing experience." The Emissary features a Silk Satin Black finish. Illustrator Adam Forster covered the black with an eye-popping blue-and-white graphic that depicts a skull x-ray.
